The Sindh government and the federal authorities reached a consensus on Thursday to construct the M6 Motorway from Karachi to Sukkur

The Sindh government and the federal authorities reached a consensus on Thursday to construct the M6 Motorway from Karachi to Sukkur, opting for a separate route rather than starting from Hyderabad.
During a meeting at the Chief Minister’s House, officials discussed the potential for a public-private partnership or a consortium involving both the Sindh and federal governments for the project. The proposed motorway will span 306 kilometers and feature six lanes, serving as a high-speed toll road for safe and efficient transportation.
Additionally, the chief minister urged for the handover of the Lyari Expressway to facilitate heavy traffic, with plans for upgrades to be completed within six months.
