The Perimetric Security System at Gwadar Port, featuring 675 high-tech cameras, became fully operational

The Perimetric Security System (PSS) at Gwadar Port, featuring 675 high-tech cameras, became fully operational on September 29. This system, costing Rs 252.35 million, enhances security for Gwadar Port and its facilities, including the Gwadar Free Zones.
Chairman Passand Khan stated that the new system has improved the entry and exit of goods and services. MPA Maulana Hidayat-ur-Rehman Baloch praised the initiative, encouraging local and foreign investment in Gwadar. Local travel agent Jahangir Sabir emphasized that the PSS is essential for the region’s economic growth and future development in tourism and commerce.
Additionally, the Government of Balochistan is advancing the Gwadar Safe City Project. Phase I is progressing well, with a Project Management Unit established and feasibility reports submitted, all in line with the Gwadar Smart Port City Master Plan 2025. This project, estimated to cost Rs 3,325.6 million, is a collaborative effort by the Ministry of Homes and Tribal Affairs and the Ministry of Science and Technology.
