The first direct flight from Uzbekistan to Lahore landed
The first direct flight from Tashkent to Lahore landed on Friday, marking a significant milestone in the growing relationship between Uzbekistan and Pakistan.
Welcomed by the Ambassador of Uzbekistan to Pakistan, Alisher Tukhtayev, along with local business leaders at Allama Iqbal International Airport, the Uzbekistan Airways flight was greeted with a Water Salute.
In a statement to the media, Ambassador Tukhtayev highlighted that the new flight opens up opportunities to strengthen economic, cultural, and tourism ties between the two nations.
He credited President Shavkat Mirziyoyev’s vision and the collaborative efforts of the Uzbek Embassy and Pakistan’s Ministry of Transport for making the flight a reality. The fully-booked flight demonstrates the importance of this new route, which serves as a symbol of deepening cooperation and friendship between Uzbekistan and Pakistan.
