Qatar to invest $3 billion in Pakistan’s economy

Information Minister Attaullah Tarar announced that Qatar has pledged to invest $3 billion in Pakistan’s economy during a news conference in Islamabad.
This commitment, highlighted during a review of Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif’s recent visits to Saudi Arabia and Qatar, signifies a broad partnership between the two nations across trade, investment, culture, and the economy, aiming to bolster Pakistan’s economic stability.
A significant aspect of the Prime Minister’s visit to Qatar was an exhibition showcasing Pakistani art and architecture, described by Tarar as essential for enhancing bilateral relations. During this visit, PM Shehbaz thanked the Amir of Qatar, Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, for his ongoing support and cooperation.
Tarar also shared positive outcomes from meetings with Saudi leadership, noting an increase in Saudi investments in Pakistan from $2.2 billion to $2.8 billion. This $600 million boost reflects the strengthening ties between the two countries, showcasing a commitment to economic collaboration.
