The Punjab Provincial Cabinet has approved a remarkable Rs3.44 billion for the construction of Model Bazaars across 13 districts, a major step towards economic relief and empowering local communities.
Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz highlighted the significant role these bazaars play in providing essential goods at affordable rates, improving livelihoods, and fostering entrepreneurship. With rents as low as Rs10,000 for small business owners, the initiative promotes economic inclusivity and job creation.
Currently, 36 bazaars are operating in 24 districts, with plans to expand further. This project exemplifies Punjab’s commitment to supporting citizens and improving access to daily essentials.
