Punjab government successfully conducted an artificial rain experiment using local technology

The Punjab government successfully conducted an artificial rain experiment using local technology to address the dense smog affecting the region.

The cloud seeding trial, executed in collaboration with the Pakistan Army, Army Aviation, and other institutions, brought rainfall in Jhelum and Gujar Khan within hours.

Punjab CM Maryam Nawaz lauded this milestone, which promises technological advancements and relief from smog-related health risks.

Amidst record pollution levels, Punjab declared a health emergency, enforcing school closures, construction bans, and virtual classes.

Prayers for rain (Namaz-e-Istisqa) were also offered at over 600 mosques to alleviate the crisis.
