The Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX) reached a historic milestone today, surpassing the 92,000-point mark for the first time, fueled by robust investor sentiment. The KSE-100 Index surged by 1,212 points during trading, hitting an unprecedented level of 92,072 points, breaking its previous intraday high of 91,872 points.
Earlier in the session, the stock exchange had approached this milestone, with the index climbing by 1,022 points to reach an all-time high of 91,881 points, also breaking its prior intraday record.
“This performance is a significant milestone and indicates a positive outlook for investors,” remarked a senior market analyst. “If economic indicators continue to show stability, we could see further upward momentum in the days ahead.”
The trading day began on a strong note, with the PSX experiencing a bullish trend that initially saw the benchmark index rise by 786 points, restoring the 91,000-point level and bringing the KSE-100 Index to 91,645 points, a level not seen during previous strong market periods.
