Pakistan Petroleum Limited (PPL) has made a significant hydrocarbon discovery at the Pateji X-1 well, located in the Sujawal district of Sindh.
The company announced the discovery of gas and condensate in the Upper Sand (C-Sand) reservoir after evaluating data from the well. This follows an earlier discovery of the D-Sand reservoir.
PPL, in partnership with Mari Petroleum, Sindh Energy Holding Company, and Government Holdings, operates the Shah Bandar block, where this discovery was made.
The well is flowing 12.4 million standard cubic feet of gas per day and 196 barrels of condensate, contributing to Pakistan’s energy sector and reducing reliance on imported energy.
