Pakistan has become the first foreign country to join China’s space station training programme

Pakistan has become the first foreign country to join China’s space station training programme, as confirmed by Suparco Director AKM Shafaat Ali. Two astronauts from Pakistan will be selected based on merit, academic excellence, and physical fitness to receive specialized training in China.

This agreement, signed under the leadership of the Prime Minister of Pakistan, marks a new chapter in Pak-China space collaboration. The programme includes training in various scientific fields like biology, aerospace, physics, and astronomy aboard China’s Space Station (CSS).

China has historically limited astronaut training to its citizens. This strategic move not only highlights Pakistan’s growing capabilities in space science but also strengthens bilateral ties between the two nations.
