Pakistan has approved the construction of two new international airports in Sukkur and Muzaffarabad

Pakistan has approved the construction of two new international airports in Sukkur and Muzaffarabad, aiming to enhance the country’s air travel infrastructure.

The Pakistan Airports Authority (PAA) has initiated the development process and formed a committee to manage land acquisition for both sites.

Work on the airports has officially begun under the supervision of the Works and Development Department. Consultants and experts will also be brought in to support the project, which is expected to be completed within the next five years.

The airports will require major investment, running into billions of rupees, and are seen as a step toward improving connectivity and regional development across Pakistan.
