Pakistan earns $4 billion in Rice exports during the current fiscal year

For the first time in history, Pakistan has achieved a record-breaking $4 billion in rice exports during the current fiscal year, thanks to efforts by the Special Investment Facilitation Council (SIFC). This milestone highlights the growing success of Pakistan’s agriculture sector, particularly its globally renowned basmati rice.
Former Chairman of the Rice Exporters Association of Pakistan, Shahjahan Malik, expressed optimism for the future, aiming for a $5 billion rice export target in the next fiscal year. A strategic focus on modern seed research and promoting quality agricultural practices will support this ambitious goal.
Pakistan’s basmati rice, celebrated for its high quality, continues to strengthen the country’s global trade presence and boost domestic agriculture. The SIFC has been key in driving investment and enhancing the recognition of Pakistan’s agricultural products internationally.
