The Pakistan Army has set up a mini freelancing hub in Gilgit-Baltistan’s Ghizer District, marking a significant boost to the region’s digital infrastructure. This initiative, launched under the Special Investment Facilitation Council (SIFC), is based at the Government Boys Higher Secondary School in Phandar.
According to the school’s principal, Shaheen Baig, the hub was completed quickly and provides free internet access to enhance the digital skills of local students and youth.
The principal highlighted the hub’s importance, noting that it fulfills a critical need and will greatly benefit the talented students in the area. He also expressed gratitude to the Pakistan Army for their contribution.
Local residents and youth have warmly welcomed the initiative, thanking the Pakistan Army and SIFC for bringing digital opportunities to the region.
This project is a strategic effort to harness Gilgit-Baltistan’s human resources by providing access to global digital markets through freelancing platforms.
