The Pakistan Business Council (PBC), a key corporate advocacy platform, warned that numerous multinational companies (MNCs) are considering relocating their back offices from Pakistan or have already done.

So due to widespread internet disruptions caused by the recent firewall implementation.

The PBC highlighted concerns over idle power generation capacity leading to job losses and reduced export and tax revenue.

They stressed that while security measures like firewalls are important, inadequate execution could harm the emerging software sector and tarnish Pakistan’s reputation as a reliable IT service provider.
