NLC & DP World successfully shipped over 1,000 containers between Pakistan and Bangladesh

National Logistics Corporation (NLC) and DP World have successfully shipped over 1,000 containers between Pakistan and Bangladesh since launching the first direct shipping route in October.

This strategic initiative aims to enhance regional connectivity and trade in South Asia. The Karachi-Jabel Ali container service will commence in mid-January with the first NLC vessel, which can carry 1,100 TEUs.

A second vessel of similar capacity will join by the end of January, and an edible oil vessel is scheduled for February 2025. This collaboration is seen as a vital step towards boosting economic growth, promoting regional prosperity, and enhancing trade links between the countries.
