New Gwadar International Airport is set to open by the end of this month

The new Gwadar International Airport is set to open by the end of this month, according to the Pakistan Airports Authority (PAA).

Preparations for its operation are in the final stages, confirmed by the PAA spokesperson. Acting DG Zeeshan Saeed, along with Deputy DG Sadiq Rehman, visited the airport recently, where Project Director Faizullah Khattak provided an update on its readiness.

The airport, which has cost $246 million, including a grant from China, is equipped with a modern terminal and large runway, capable of accommodating all types of large aircraft.

The project also offers significant business opportunities linked to nearby economic zones.
