Ministry of Information Technology and Telecommunication, in partnership with Huawei, launched the ICT Training Portal

The Ministry of Information Technology and Telecommunication, in partnership with Huawei, launched the ICT Training Portal on Friday to enhance IT skills among Pakistan’s youth.

Minister of State for Information Technology, Shaza Fatima Khawaja, highlighted the portal’s crucial role in developing a digitally skilled workforce to boost Pakistan’s presence in the global IT sector. The portal offers free online training, providing young men and women access to a wide range of IT courses.

Minister Khawaja emphasized the importance of these skills for the country’s economic growth. She also announced the creation of a National IT Skills Committee under the Prime Minister’s direction.

Furthermore, she acknowledged Huawei’s contributions to skill development and governance, and expressed hope for similar collaborations in initiatives like Smart Islamabad.
