October 5, 2024
Indian Foreign Minister S. Jaishankar will visit Pakistan this month to attend the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation (SCO) Summit in Islamabad on October 15 and 16, 2024.
This marks the first visit by an Indian foreign minister to Pakistan since Sushma Swaraj’s trip in 2015.
Jaishankar will lead a delegation to the summit, which focuses on regional cooperation and security. Pakistan, holding the rotating chairmanship of the SCO Council of Heads of Government (CHG), is set to host the event, which is typically attended by presidents and prime ministers.
