IMFis set to approve a $7 billion Relief package for Pakistan in September

The International Monetary Fund (IMF) Executive Board is set to approve a $7 billion Relief package for Pakistan in September.

Finance Minister Muhammad Aurangzeb confirmed ongoing discussions with the IMF to finalize the loan agreement.

The approval of the staff-level agreement is anticipated within the month.

Aurangzeb assured that Pakistan will meet all conditions stipulated in the agreement.

This follows the July 13 announcement of a three-year, $7 billion aid package deal between Pakistan and the IMF.
