HEC granted 200 fully funded scholarships to the sixth batch of Sri Lankan students under the Allama Muhammad Iqbal Scholarship

The Higher Education Commission (HEC) of Pakistan has granted 200 fully and partially funded scholarships to the sixth batch of Sri Lankan students under the Allama Muhammad Iqbal Scholarship Programme.
In addition to these new awardees, approximately 500 Sri Lankan students are currently enrolled in undergraduate, MS, and PhD programs at leading universities in Pakistan.
To mark this occasion, HEC, in collaboration with the Pakistan High Commission, organized a ceremony in Colombo for the newly selected students. General Shavendra Silva, Chief of Defense Staff, served as the chief guest, with Maj. Gen. (R) Faheem Ul Aziz, High Commissioner of Pakistan to Sri Lanka, also in attendance.
Mr. Jehanzeb Khan, Project Director of the Pakistan Sri Lanka Higher Education Cooperation Programme, provided insights into the scholarship initiative during the ceremony, which was attended by various dignitaries, including businessmen, academics, parents of awardees, and government officials.
