The federal government has allocated Rs2 billion to Pakistan Bait-ul-Maal, a key welfare organization dedicated to providing financial aid to individuals and families in need.
These funds will address a backlog of over 28,000 pending applications for medical treatment, education, and financial assistance. Specifically, over 13,000 medical cases awaiting support will now be processed.
Additionally, the funds will cover two months’ worth of pending wages for Pakistan Bait-ul-Maal employees. The allocation will be distributed to both federal and provincial offices to ensure aid reaches those who need it most.
Recent audits have uncovered financial irregularities, with Rs2 billion misallocated, including Rs281 million meant for the underprivileged being given to government employees.
