Fauji Fertilizer Bin Qasim Limited reported a profit after tax of Rs8 billion for the third quarter of 2024, representing a 51% year-over-year increase.
This strong performance was driven by improved gas availability, which reached 84% of the allocation (up from 54% in 2023). This increase led to Urea production and sales volumes rising by 118% and 98%, respectively, significantly reducing the need for imports.
Overall, FFBL achieved a profit after tax of Rs18.6 billion over the nine-month period, aided by a stable foreign exchange rate and favorable international DAP margins.
Finance costs were reduced by Rs4.8 billion, and exchange losses decreased significantly due to the stability of the PKR against the US dollar.
