CM Maryam Nawaz Sharif has launched a historic Rs110 billion relief package for wheat farmers

Punjab CM Maryam Nawaz Sharif has launched a historic Rs110 billion relief package for wheat farmers—the largest ever in the province. Under the Wheat Farmer Support Programme, Rs25 billion will be distributed, offering Rs5,000 per acre.

Flour mills must now procure 25% wheat locally. Farmers also benefit from subsidies on tractors, tube well solarisation, and super seeders. Top wheat producers will win tractors and cash prizes.

A Rs1.25 billion agriculture internship program will support farmers, while cotton growers receive Rs25,000 per block. The CM urged all citizens to support sustainable agriculture.
