Chinese business delegation shown strong interest in building a $1 billion medical city in the Dhabeji
A Chinese business delegation has shown strong interest in building a $1 billion medical city in the Dhabeji Special Economic Zone (SEZ) in Thatta, Sindh, as confirmed by the Sindh government.
During a recent visit, the delegation, which included representatives from 12 major Chinese companies, explored various sectors for investment, such as cargo, electric vehicles, fertilizers, pharmaceuticals, food, and renewable energy.
Along with the medical city project, the delegation also expressed plans to set up factories for solar panels, inverters, batteries, and fertilizer production using coal. The Dhabeji SEZ, a key component of the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC), offers diverse opportunities for industrial, commercial, and residential development.
