China has successfully launched its first reusable satellite, the Shijian-19, as part of a mission aimed at advancing seed science, microgravity research, and fostering international space cooperation.
The satellite was delivered into orbit by a Long March 2D rocket from the Jiuquan Satellite Launch Centre on September 28, 2024. This significant achievement highlights China’s commitment to enhancing its capabilities in space exploration and collaboration with other nations, including Thailand and Pakistan, which contributed payloads for the mission.
