Pakistan’s remittances reached a historic $4.1 billion in March 2025

Pakistan’s remittances reached a historic $4.1 billion in March 2025, marking the first time monthly inflows have crossed the $4 billion threshold. This represents a 37.3% increase year-on-year and a 29.8% rise from February 2025, according to the State Bank of Pakistan (SBP).

The growth is attributed to seasonal factors like Ramadan and Eid, as well as improved economic conditions in sending countries. Major contributors include Saudi Arabia, the UAE, the UK, and the US, accounting for nearly 72% of total inflows.

So far in FY25, total remittances have reached $28 billion, reflecting a 33.2% increase over the same period last year, signaling strong support for Pakistan’s economy from overseas workers.
