Pakistan has launched its first 120KW fast electric vehicle charging station in Islamabad, developed by GoGreen Avenue.

The initiative was inaugurated by Federal Minister for Power, Sardar Awais Ahmed Khan Leghari, highlighting the government’s efforts to promote clean energy and green mobility.

The minister announced a major reduction in EV charging rates, lowering the cost from Rs71 to Rs39 per unit to make electric vehicles more affordable. He emphasized the importance of public-private partnerships in advancing sustainability goals.
