Punjab has expanded its free public Wi-Fi service

Punjab has expanded its free public Wi-Fi service, increasing hotspots in Lahore from 200 to 230 and introducing Wi-Fi 6 technology for faster speeds.

The service now covers 300 locations across 11 districts, benefiting residents in major cities.

Over 17.7 million users have accessed the service, with 438 terabytes of data used.

Authorities emphasize that the Wi-Fi is for essential use and will not support video streaming. Plans are underway to extend connectivity across the province.
