Pakistan’s telecom sector earned a total of Rs2.52 trillion over the past decade, with the top three operators contributing Rs764 billion in taxes.

 

Jazz led the industry with Rs1.663 trillion in revenue and Rs502.51 billion in tax payments, followed by Zong, which generated Rs821.54 billion in revenue and paid Rs248.88 billion in taxes.

 

Nayatel, a smaller player, earned Rs37.6 billion and contributed Rs12.42 billion in taxes.

 

These figures highlight the sector’s crucial role in Pakistan’s economy, both in terms of revenue generation and tax contributions.
