Services exports from Pakistan saw a notable increase of 7.8% during the first five months of the current financial year

Services exports from Pakistan saw a notable increase of 7.8% during the first five months of the current financial year, reaching $3.275 billion, up from $3.044 billion during the same period last year, according to data from the Pakistan Bureau of Statistics.

 

This growth highlights positive momentum in Pakistan’s services sector, boosting overall trade performance. During the same period, services imports rose by 2.88%, totaling $4.425 billion, compared to $4.301 billion the previous year. As a result, the services trade deficit narrowed by 9.48%. In November 2024, services exports grew by 6.15% year-on-year, reaching $657.69 million.

 

However, services imports increased by 4.60%, reaching $828.56 million. The trade balance for November showed a 3.10% year-on-year improvement. On a month-on-month basis, exports fell by 1.76% in November compared to October 2024.
