43 CPEC projects valued at $24.7 billion completed

The government presented details in the National Assembly regarding the completion of 43 projects under the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC), valued at $24.7 billion.
These projects, facilitated by China, span various regions of Pakistan, with two projects in Balochistan, two in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP), and one each in Sindh, Punjab, and Islamabad, along with one covering the entire country. Ongoing projects include infrastructure developments in Gwadar, special economic zones, and flood reconstruction.
The Ministry of Finance also reported a significant 79% decline in the current account deficit for the first two months of the fiscal year. Additionally, the Gwadar Port is fully operational, capable of handling cargo and containers efficiently. The government also collected Rs338 billion in advance taxes from mobile phone bills in the past five years.
