OGDCL discovered gas reserves in lakki Marwat

OGDCL (Oil and Gas Development Corporation Limited) has announced the discovery of new gas and condensate reserves at the Betani exploration well in the Lakki Marwat district of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

This marks the first hydrocarbon discovery in the Samanasic formation within the Wali Block.

The reserves are expected to produce 2.14 million standard cubic feet of gas and 74 barrels of condensate per day.

OGDCL had previously discovered oil and gas in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa’s Kohat Block earlier in March 2024.
