Pakistan’s exports saw a significant 9.57% growth in rupee terms during the first four months of the current fiscal year, totaling Rs 3,029,329 million, compared to Rs 2,764,712 million during the same period last year.
In October 2024, exports rose 9.91% year-on-year to Rs 789,220 million. The key export commodities included knitwear, readymade garments, rice, and bedwear. On the other hand, imports also saw a 2.23% increase, totaling Rs 4,999,923 million during July–October 2024.
This highlights a positive growth in exports despite rising import figures, indicating steady economic activity.
