Car Sales in Pakistan jumped by 118% year-on-year in October 2024

Pakistan’s Automotive Manufacturers Association (PAMA) Reports Car Sales in Pakistan jumped by 118% year-on-year in October 2024, reaching 10,557 units, up from 4,850 units in October 2023.
The growth, attributed to improved purchasing power and favorable auto financing options, also led to a 35% month-on-month increase. For the first four months of FY25, car sales grew by 47%.
Industry experts cite lower interest rates, interest-free financing, and new vehicle models, especially hybrid and electric, as key factors driving sales. Despite this, experts warn that affordable models for the lower middle class remain a challenge.
