Pakistani PhD student Saniya Khurshid won Poster Award at the UK’s 5th Commonwealth Chemistry competition

Pakistani PhD student, Saniya Khurshid, has won the inaugural People’s Choice Poster Award at the UK’s 5th Commonwealth Chemistry Poster competition titled “Building Networks to Address the Goals.”
Saniya, a PhD candidate at the HEJ Research Institute of Chemistry, University of Karachi, was recognized for her significant contribution to research linked to global sustainability and development goals. Competing against scholars from 28 countries, her poster focused on the “Electrochemical Detection of Creatinine at Pico-Molar Scale in Human Body Fluids for Diagnosis of Kidney Dysfunction.”
The virtual competition, organized by the Federation of Chemical Sciences Societies in the UK, received 180 submissions. Professor Dr. Farzana Shaheen, head of ICCBS at the University of Karachi, congratulated Saniya and her supervisor, Dr. Imran Malik, highlighting the achievement as a testament to the growing influence of Pakistani researchers globally.
