Pakistan’s IT exports hit $876 million in 3 months

Pakistan’s information technology (IT) and IT-enabled services (ITeS) exports saw remarkable growth in the first quarter of the fiscal year 2024-25, reaching $876 million—a 33.7% increase from $655 million in the same period last year.
In September 2024, IT export remittances hit $292 million, marking a 41.7% year-on-year rise from $206 million in September 2023, although they declined by 2.1% compared to August 2024.
The sector achieved an all-time high of $3.223 billion in the last fiscal year, with expectations of 10-15% growth for 2025. Minister Shaza Fatima Khawaja emphasized ongoing efforts to boost IT exports, highlighting the industry’s importance in Pakistan’s economic landscape.
