Seven Prime Ministers to gather in Islamabad for SCO Summit

Seven prime ministers, including those from Russia and China, along with one vice president, will attend the two-day Shanghai Cooperation Organisation (SCO) council meeting in Islamabad.
The Foreign Office confirmed that China, Russia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, and Uzbekistan will be represented by their prime ministers, along with Iran’s first vice president and India’s external affairs minister. Additionally, the prime minister of Mongolia (observer state) and officials from Turkmenistan (special guest) will participate.
This marks Pakistan’s first major regional conference in years, with heightened security measures in place and a three-day public holiday announced in Islamabad and Rawalpindi.
