High-level Saudi delegation, led by Minister of Investment Khalid Al-Falih, arrived in Islamabad to finalize 26 contracts worth $2.2 billion across multiple sectors, including energy, IT, agriculture, and construction.
Key Pakistani ministers welcomed the 135-member team, which includes leaders from Saudi banks and authorities. Notable agreements expected include joint ventures for textile production and corporate farming on 10,000 acres in Khanewal, aimed at exporting agricultural products to Saudi Arabia.
The two nations are also set to explore cooperation in pharmaceuticals and human resources. This partnership aims to boost trade and address Pakistan’s trade deficit with Saudi Arabia, paving the way for a formal Free Trade Agreement with GCC countries.
