The United Nations has honored two Pakistani female peacekeepers with the Gender Advocacy Award for their exceptional contributions.
Major Sania Safdar, who served in the UN Peacekeeping Mission in Cyprus, and Major Komal Masood, who served in the Central African Republic, were recognized for their professionalism and dedication to advancing women’s participation in peacekeeping operations.
The Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR) highlighted their significant roles in promoting peace and stability in their missions. This accolade underscores Pakistan’s strong commitment to the UN Peacekeeping mandate.
Additionally, earlier this month, Punjab Police SSP Riffat Bukhari received the Excellence in Performance Award from the International Association of Women Police at their annual conference in Chicago, further showcasing Pakistan’s commitment to excellence in law enforcement.
