Bilateral trade between Pakistan and Iran reached 1.906 million tons valued at $1.128 billion in the first five months of the year, reflecting a 2% increase in weight year-on-year.
In this period, Pakistan ranked as Iran’s fourth-largest trade partner among its neighbors. Iran’s non-oil exports to Pakistan amounted to $360 million in the first four months of 2024, marking an 18% increase compared to the same timeframe last year.
Additionally, Pakistan imported products worth $360 million from Iran during this period, also up by 18%. Notably, imports in April 2024 surged to $73.2 million, a 30% growth year-on-year.
In 2023, Iran’s total exports to Pakistan were valued at $944 million, a 13% rise from the previous year.
