Turkmenistan is Set to become the first Central Asian nation to gain access to Gwadar Port through CPEC
Turkmenistan is Set to become the first Central Asian nation to gain access to Gwadar Port through the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC), with both countries preparing to finalize an agreement.
Pakistan and Turkmenistan are advancing several joint projects, including the TAPI pipeline, a railway track, and fiber connectivity linking South and Central Asia. A government-formed committee is currently reviewing the agreement draft between Gwadar Port and Turkmenbashi Port.
The Planning, Development, and Special Initiatives Minister will oversee the agreement, supported by the Ministries of Commerce, Finance, and Maritime Affairs. The agreement aims to enhance regional cooperation and optimize port capacities for goods transit.
