Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif announced an ambitious target of $25 billion in IT exports for Pakistan over the next five years during the launch of Google’s initiative to manufacture 500,000 Chromebooks in the country.
Appreciating Google’s global and local contributions, PM Sharif emphasized the potential of Pakistan’s youth in driving economic growth through technology. He urged government support for IT education, empowerment, and digital transformation to combat corruption.
Google’s Farhan Qureshi highlighted the economic benefits for freelancers and tech professionals in Pakistan.
