41 million passengers travelled through Pak Railway

Pakistan Railways has reported a significant increase in passenger traffic for the fiscal year 2023-24, with 41.91 million passengers traveling by train, up from 35.40 million in the previous year.

 

This marks a growth of 6.51 million passengers. The total passenger earnings for 2023-24 amounted to Rs. 47.712 billion, exceeding the budgetary target by Rs. 8.712 billion and showing an increase of Rs. 13.799 billion compared to the previous year.

 

Additionally, Pakistan Railways has introduced various improvements including modern dining cars, mobile charging stations, digital ticketing, and better accessibility for disabled passengers. The department is also focused on improving train punctuality, complaint management, and maintaining quality standards for services.
